US Navy warships defending Israel from Iran's attack used SM-3 missiles, an interceptor that scored its first-ever kill earlier this year.

The US and its allies are working to shape Israel’s reaction to Iran after Tehran launched about 200 ballistic missiles at the country on Tuesday. Meanwhile the Israel Defense Forces is intensifying its campaign against Hezboallah after a series of devastating attacks in Lebanon over the past month that wiped out much of the Iran-backed militant group top ranks.
