WORCESTER, Mass. — A Massachusetts man recently won a $1 million prize on a scratch ticket he purchased at a local liquor store. Jose Tejada Grullon, of Worcester, chose the cash option on his “Bonus 100X” instant ticket game prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission.

A chef from Boylston is the winner of a $10 million scratch ticket. According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Michael Fitzgerald, a chef from Boylston, bought a $20 “$10,000,000 Cash Blast” instant ticket from Star Liquor in Shrewsbury.

Gomez, who claimed his prize Tuesday, October 1 at Mass Lottery headquarters in Dorchester, purchased his $1 million winning ticket at M & M Convenience, 30 Rockdale Ave. in New Bedford. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.
