Chennai traffic police have issued a travel advisory for the IAF air show on October 6. The event will showcase as many as 22 different types of aircraft to mark the 92nd anniversary of the IAF, and 10-12 lakh people are expected to attend the aerial display.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his wishes to the people of Tamil Nadu after Union Cabinet approved the Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase-II, comprising three corridors.

The total length of the metro lines is 118.9 km having 128 stations. The project completion cost is Rs 63,246 crore and is planned to be completed by 2027.
