Adobe said on Tuesday it will offer a free web-based app starting next year, aimed at helping the creators of images and videos to get credit for their work used in AI systems.

The Content Authenticity web app can be used to widely apply attribution data to content that contains the creator’s name, website, social media pages, and more. It also provides an easier way for creatives to opt their work out of AI training en mass compared to laboriously submitting individual protections for their content to each AI provider.

Adobe is stepping up its efforts to protect creators' digital work with a new web-based tool designed for securing attribution and safeguarding content against unauthorized AI usage. Launch, the Adobe Content Authenticity app will allow users to attach detailed metadata, known as Content Credentials, to digital files like images, audio, and video.
