The question for prosecutors reexamining the murder convictions of Lyle and Erik Menendez is not whether they killed their parents, but how culpable they really are.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles are reviewing new evidence in the case of Erik and Lyle Menendez to determine whether they should be serving life sentences for killing their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion more than 35 years ago.

Erik and Lyle Menendez were convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Los Angeles prosecutors said this week they are taking another look at the case.
