A pair of brothers from Iowa and Utah have been arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot on the U.S. Capitol, the Justice Department announced Thursday.

Two brothers, one from Iowa and the other from Utah, have been arrested for allegedly assaulting law enforcement and other charges related to their alleged breach of the U.S Capitol in 2021.

According to the U.S Department of Justice, the brother's actions alongside others disrupted a joint session of the United States Congress to work out and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 election.
