OpenAI has launched a new “canvas” interface for ChatGPT that allows users to adjust sections of text or code generated by the chatbot in a side-by-side collaboration. Canvas opens a separate editing window next to the existing ChatGPT chat box,

ChatGPT saves different versions of the canvas as you’re iterating, so you can return to old versions if you end up preferring that output. Writers who may be worried about what they upload being used by OpenAI to train its model should go into their user settings and make sure that “model training” is toggled off.

OpenAI today announced Canvas, a new collaborative ChatGPT interface for writing and software coding. It’s available now in an early beta for ChatGPT Plus and Team users. It’s coming to Enterprise and Edu users next week, and OpenAI will make it available to free users once it’s out of beta.
