Netflix is not proceeding with more installments of That ’90s Show. The cancellation news comes a little over a month after Part 3 of the That 70s Show sequel was released Aug. 22. That translates to a two-season run as Netflix releases multi-cam comedies in Parts (aka half-seasons) after their initial run.

The ’90s are officially over. “That ’90s Show,” the follow-up series to “That ’70s Show,” has been canceled after two seasons on Netflix, franchise star Kurtwood Smith wrote on Instagram Thursday night.

Netflix has quietly pulled the plug on its hit series after just two seasons. News of That ‘90s Show broke late on Oct. 3 as star Kurtwood Smith, who reprised his role as Red Forman, took to Instagram to share the news with his fans and confirm that Netflix had indeed passed on picking the show up for a third season.

"We will shop the show, because good grandparents would try hard to get these kids graduated from high school," Kurtwood Smith added in his Instagram post.
